Help Save Rodeo in the City of Los Angeles

In the city of Los Angeles, the future of rodeo is being threatened. In Feb. 2021, the Los Angeles City Council voted to draft an ordinance prohibiting the use of specific practices, techniques, and devices in any rodeo held in the City of Los Angeles. The Los Angeles County Cattlemen's Association strongly opposes this ordinance. Los Angeles County Cattleman’s Association encourages you to sign the petition started by Western Justice and to submit your comments directly to the Los Angeles City Council in support of rodeo and rodeo-like events.

  • Opposition to Plant Based Treaty

The push against livestock production continues to grow as the Los Angeles City Council voted to adopt resolution 22-0002-S118, supporting the United States to enter into a Plant-Based Treaty, pending the mayor's concurrence. This treaty will significantly contribute to reducing or eliminating animal agriculture
